Die Bop Street Boys bestehen ( bestanden ) aus der klassischen Formation einer Rockabilly /Rock & Roll Band .
Lucky ( Wolfgang ) Metzmacher „ Gesang & Rhyhmus Gitarre , Nils Becker „ Lead & Solo Gitarre , Uwe Tenfelde Slapp/Kontrabass & Joe ( Gros ) Schlagzeug
Ihr Sound wird vornehmlich durch ihre Vorbilder „ sprich Elvis Presley , Gene Vincent , Eddie Cochran, Sonny Fisher, Carl Perkins und sowie diverse Interpreten der amerkanischen Rockabilly/Rock & Roll Szene der Fünfziger Jahre geprägt.Trotz ihrer kompromißlosen Treue zu der Authentizität ihres Sounds und Outfits scheuen sie nicht eigene Songs zu kreiren n ohne an Originalität einzubüßen. Denn das Publikum ist schwer davon zu überzeugen, dass Songs wie *Bop 56 *, Moon Magic *, Bop Diggin´Around * KEINE Cover-Versionen von unbekannten Rock & Roll Verfechter aus den Fünfzigern sind, sondern eigener Feder stammen !
„ Zur Geschichte „ liegt sehr lange zurück :
Bereits vor 10 Jahren war Lucky ( 27 ) ein Fan von Elvis Presley und ein Vorbild seiner Stimme,....sowie der ständig Entenschschwaz-kämmende Schlagzeuger Joe ( auch Be Bop Joe oder Erpel genannt ) der seine Vorbilder im Swing hat „ sowie Buddy Rich oder Gene Krupa „ …
der auch schon mit Lucky in einer Rock & Roll /Rockabilly Formation spielten die sich „The Rocking Ducktails nannten !!
Der Gene Vincent Freak und Gitarrist Nils ( 25 ) aus Menden/Sauerland spielte seit Mitte 1980er Jahren in diversen Bands wie den „ Rocking Blue Caps „ bis er im Mai 1990 zusammen mit Joe und Lucky die „Idee“ von Joe , die *Bop Street Boys * gründeten. Da der erste Bassist Miko aufhörte , kamm erst Alex Wolfram dazu …..........der aber leider durch eine Armverletzung ausstieg . Ende 1990 kam der Bassist Uwe ( Tenfelde ) dazu, der sich nach einjähriger Baßerfahrungen in Bluesrock Bansds z.b „ Baldland Rhythm „ machte , machter auf Suche nach den Roots und schließ sich den „Bop Street Boys an „wo er super zu passte !
Wie bereits erwähnt halten die „ Bopstreet Boys * viel vom authentischen Fünfziger Jahre Rockabilly/Rock& Roll Sound und arbeiten stets an der Aufeinlung ihrer musikalischen und showmäßiger Vorstellung von Rock & Roll und Rockabilly, damit eines Tages niemand mehr genau sagen kann , ob sie aus Tennessee , Virginia, Texas oder ….....vielleicht aus Deutschland sind !
Aber was soll´s „ Keep on Rocking „

Maiko ( M.Fire Feet ) war nur kurz mal dabei …........den alten Musiker der Bop Stree Boys , wie Nils, Uwe & Joe waren dabei !!
The "Bop Street Boys"
The Bop Street Boys consist of the classic lineup of a rockabilly/rock & roll band.
Lucky (Wolfgang) Metzmacher (vocals & rhythm guitar), Nils Becker (lead & solo guitar), Uwe Tenfelde (slapper/double bass), and Joe (Gros) drums.
Their sound is primarily influenced by their idols, namely Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Sonny Fisher, Carl Perkins, and various artists from the American rockabilly/rock & roll scene of the 1950s. Despite their uncompromising loyalty to the authenticity of their sound and outfit, they are not afraid to create their own songs without sacrificing originality. It's hard to convince the audience that songs like "Bop 56," "Moon Magic," and "Bop Diggin' Around" are NOT cover versions of unknown rock & roll champions from the 1950s. fifties, but come from my own pen!
"The story" goes back a long way.
Already 10 years ago, Lucky (27) was a fan of Elvis Presley and a role model for his voice,... as was the constantly ducktail-combing drummer Joe (also known as Be Bop Joe or Erpel), whose role models were swing, "as well as Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa"
who also played with Lucky in a rock & roll/rockabilly band called "The Rocking Ducktails!"
Gene Vincent freak and guitarist Nils (25) from Menden/Sauerland played in various bands such as the "Rocking Blue Caps" since the mid-1980s until he, Joe, and Lucky founded Joe's "brainchild," the *Bop Street Boys*, in May 1990. Since the first bassist, Miko, retired, Alex Wolfram joined the band...who unfortunately dropped out due to an arm injury. At the end of 1990, bassist Uwe (Tenfelde) joined the band. After a year of bass playing in blues-rock bands like "Baldland Rhythm," he went in search of his roots and joined the "Bop Street Boys," where he fit in perfectly!
As already mentioned, the "Bopstreet Boys" hold a strong interest in the authentic 1950s rockabilly/rock & roll sound and are constantly working on refining their musical and show-style interpretation of rock & roll and rockabilly, so that one day no one will be able to tell for sure whether they're from Tennessee, Virginia, Texas, or... maybe even Germany!
But what the heck, "Keep on Rocking."

Addendum: The Bop Street Boys disbanded in 1992... a new band emerged, which then teamed up with two Dutchmen: Junior Marvel (Frank Marquez) & J.J. Slyk * Maiko (M. Fire Feet) was only there for a short time... the old Bop Street Boys musicians, like Nils, Uwe & Joe, were there!!
